What is it?

Zeolite is a natural mineral complex with a unique, crystaline,  porous structure. It's best known for its detoxifying and purifying properties.

Zeolite is formed from volcanic ash and seawater.

What is it used for?

Many different kinds of zeolites are used in all kinds of industries. Zeolite is used in water filtration, skincare... and now breath mints!

INTERESTING FACT:  The largest purchase of Zeolite ever made was shortly after the nuclear accident in Chernoble.  15,000 tonnes of Zeolite was donated by 20 different countries and dumped over the area.  The zeolite dramatically reduced the amount of hazardous materials in the air and soil by an estimated 50%.

The unique properties of zeolites structure allows it to lock dangerous gasses, metals, spores and other pathogens away.  Due to it's negative charge, zeolite is attracted to and binds to positive ions like heavy metals. This process is called an ion exchange.  Zeolite also binds to ammonium and other "bad smell" particles which is what we use it for. Once encapsulated into the nano-sililca prisons forever, they are inert and can be discarded/expelled.  It is truly an amazing mineral complex!
